To comply with regulations, you need to know your customers and their transactions to prevent money laundering, financing terrorism or any other fraudulent or illicit activities. Crix platform, in partnership with Yoti, provides online user onboarding in more than 150 countries worldwide. Onboarding due diligence includes checking user identity, collecting personal information, retaining copies of identification documents, documents verification, and checking the users against various risk databases (PEP, sanction lists, OFAC etc.). For corporate onboarding, the documents collection and checks process on the directors and UBOs are also handled by the platform.
The compliance layer assigns the risk level of every user and continuously monitors all user’s activities to identify anything suspicious. In the case of crypto deposits, blockchain analysis tools assess the risk level of incoming deposits. Various questionnaires and document requests are automated for “source of wealth checks”, and our system can generate customisable reports for MLROs.
Crix order engine includes the order book, accounting, and matching systems which can execute 2 Mio orders per second. This includes order placement with all the necessary checks, and the order fill against another order from the order book. You can also granularly set the fees for maker and takers per trading pair depending on the trading volumes, or even set negative fees (rebates) as a trade incentive. Our micro-service architecture allows horizontal scaling, while the reliability arrangements guarantee that only a few seconds worth of trades are rolled back in case of any failure. The order engine is designed and implemented from the ground up using low-level programming languages by our team of software engineers with vast experience in financial systems
The Crix liquidity layer, connecting liquidity providers for market making, is powered through our partnership with a leading and regulated liquidity provider. They set up market making bots and deploy the real liquidity in crypto-assets and fiat currencies for various existing trading platforms. As our liquidity provider has an institutional currency exchange broker in the group, cross-currency pricing is available. For the most popular trading pairs, your users will have access to the global order book.
Crix supports various integrations and settlements such as custodial settlement, brokerage accounts, hot and cold wallets, mobile wallets, banks and payment systems. Institutional counterparties can use the FIX protocol to connect to the platform. Internal administrative and compliance interfaces can be customised to align with your internal systems. The user front-end can be skinned to your branding.
Crix supports various value-added services which you can offer to your users. Leveraged trading with margin financing provided by the regulated liquidity provider will increase your trading volumes. A built-in algorithmic trading platform allows users to create bots using Python, back-test on historical data, train using machine learning libraries and deploy to the live market. The bots connecting via FIX API can be co-located within the same virtual zone the platform is hosted in to cut internet turnaround time. These value-added services can also be billable to your customers on a monthly subscription basis.
During this stage, the requirements and scope of the project have to be agreed and formalised. The scope typically includes:
Based on your requirements, the Crix team will transform your vision into a working prototype.
During this period, you will be able to do tests with the prototype and the Crix team will provide training on compliance and user service access
